Fujifilm MP-300 Printer Improves Infrared

Fujifilm MP-300

Fujifilm is coming out with this compact and truly portable photo printer so small it can sit comfortably in your hand. The Fujifilm MP-300 mobile printer is PictBridge compliant so that means it can print directly from your camera or mobile phone without using a computer.

The amazing thing is you can actually print without wires. This is made possible by an improved version of high-speed infrared communication. Fujifilm calls it IrSimple, and it achieves 4x to 10x faster data transmission than is available at present.

Just place an IrSimple-enabled camera like the Fujifilm FinePix F31d near the MP-300 printer, with their IR ports facing each other, and printing can begin. The increased use of wireless transfer via infrared is seen as a better choice than the ubiquitous Bluetooth which detects all sorts of devices within range.
