At 325g or 11.5 ounces, the Fujifilm FinePix S1000fd can claim to be the smallest 12x zoom camera (4.1×2.9×2.7 inches), but its real virtues lie in the high-end features that if offers.
Ten megapixels, Fujinon lens (with 33-396mm zoom equivalent), Face Detection, Automatic Red Eye Removal and a brand new Panoramic Shooting mode are among the features that make the S1000fd stand out.
It’s an SLR-styled digital camera with the convenience of a dust-free fixed lens, minus the bulk of a full-fledged DSLR. The S1000fd will ship in April 2008 for about $250.
