Fujifilm Enters Industrial Inkjet Printer Market

Fujifilm Corporation has entered the industrial inkjet printer market with North America as starting point for its sales operation.

Fujifilm hopes to expand its graphics arts business by selling inkjet printers compatible with UV ink and solvent ink manufactured by its fully-owned British affiliate, Fujifilm Sericol Ltd.

According to the company, a wide variety of customers including screen printing companies, sign and display printing enterprises, photo laboratories and commercial printing companies employ inkjet printers compatible with UV and solvent inks.

The newly developed UV ink allows printing on a wide variety of substrates, from rigid material such as plastic and acrylic board to flexible material such as film, vinyl and paper.
