Fujifilm wants to keep the use of celluloid alive through its affiliated site Choose-Film.com. It is also making a unilateral declaration for a World Film Photography Day on March 20, 2008 to celebrate the use of film.

Choose-Film.com wants you to join the fun by becoming a member of their community. People who love shooting with film are welcome, whether you shoot in color, B&W, large format, medium format, professional, enthusiast, single use, instant – it doesn’t matter what you shoot, as long as you shoot it on real film, you are most welcome.

Right now, they’re doing a monthly photo contest for pictures shot in film, with Image of the Month winner Gergo Dioszegi bagging some goodies with his great shot taken with a Canon EOS 5 using Fujichrome Velvia 50.

For his winning photo, Gergo gets 10 rolls of the new Fujichrome Velvia 50 and 10 rolls of Fujifilm Neopan Acros 100 in 35mm or 120.
