It seems like the vaunted unveiling of the Fuji FinePix S5 Pro will finally happen after all.
Appropriately, the S5 Pro is set to make its debut at the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP) Convention to be held at the Novotel London West, from Friday, January 12 till Sunday, January 14, 2007. The new camera is primarily aimed at wedding photographers with its highly touted double pixel technology: 6.17 million ‘S photodiodes’ (normal DR) and 6.17 million ‘R photodiodes’ (highlight DR) to enhance its dynamic range and give more detail in highlights and shadows.
The S5 Pro features a new metal alloy body frame which looks very much like the Nikon D200, and updates its predecessors, the S2 Pro and S3 Pro models which were also based on the Nikon N80 body.
Expect the price to match what wedding photographers charge to cover celebrity nuptials.
