Taiwan-based Foxconn has launched its new DS-C350 digital camera model with 12 megapixels to boot, just as the megapixel race seemed to be tapering off at 7 or 8MP.
The Foxconn DS-C350 sports a 2.5†LTPS LCD screen, 3x optical zoom, 32MB built-in memory and an anti-shake function.
It employs a 1/18-inch CCD image sensor which can record photos in the 4:3 or 16:9 formats with a maximum resolution of 3968 x 2976 pixels. The compact camera weighs in at 152g and measures 91 x 57 x 27mm.
It shoots VGA movies at 25fps in M_JPEG and has exposure settings at ISO 50 to ISO 400. Its 32MB built-in memory leaves 26MB of usable space; the SD memory slot accommodates both SD and SDHC cards.
As Foxconn is an original equipment manufacturer (OEM), the DS-C350 will come out in the market probably sporting other brands like Minox, Vivitar or BenQ.
