Firmware v1.0.1.0 for Canon Powershot SD880 IS
There’s a new firmware for the Canon Powershot SD880 IS compact camera, available for download from the Canon site.
Firmware Version 1.0.1.0 corrects a bug in the SD880 that causes the camera to lose power when the shutter is pressed halfway and the AF frame magnifies without taking the picture.
Canon notes that, if the shutter button is pressed halfway, and the picture is then taken, this phenomenon will not occur. If loss of power does occur, pressing the power switch will restore the camera to its normal operation.
