Eye-Fi Card Now Supports FTP Uploads

Eye-Fi Pro 4GB Wireless SD Card

Users of the Eye-Fi wireless card can now upload directly to any destination of their choice, via FTP or file transfer protocol. Previously, the published choices were only the usual photo sharing sites.

The added support means you may now send photos (JPEG only) and videos from your Eye-FI Card via the Eye-Fi server to personal and corporate FTP servers using either the FTP or FTPS protocols. Choosing to upload photos and videos to a corporate or private FTP server is as simple as choosing any other online photo or video destination Eye-Fi supports, the company said.

Supported cards are the Eye-Fi Share Video, Eye-Fi Explore Video and Eye-Fi Pro. Instructions may be found on their website.
