The European Imaging and Sound Awards (EISA) today announced the winners for various categories of electronic imaging products.
Sony won 5 EISA awards including one for their Sony Alpha 100 DSLR as European Consumer Camera of the Year 2006-2007. The Canon EOS 5D won the Professional Camera category while its PIXMA iP660D garnered the Photo Printer award. Olympus also got two awards: EISA’s Professsional Lens of the Year for its ZUIKO Digital Top Pro and Pocket Camera of the Year for its compact µ 720 SW digicam. Nokia’s newest N93 phone won the Multimedia Phone of the Year award.
EISA is comprised of 50 leading magazines in the areas of audio, mobile electronics, video and photography from 20 European countries. To reach their verdict, the jurors look for new products that combine the best in technology, features, design and ergonomics as well as value for money.
The EISA Awards will be formally presented at a special Gala Event in Berlin, Germany on September 1, 2006.
