Epson UK has launched two new all-in-one printers, the Stylus SX200 and SX400, offering the functionalities of a cost-effective printer, scanner and copier in a stylish and compact unit.
Both printers feature individual ink cartridges that can be replaced one by one as each cartridge is used up. These cartridges use Epson’s pigment-based DURABrite Ultra Ink for prints that can last up to 200 years when stored in a photo album, according to the company.
Both the SX200 and SX400 Series cater to the increasing popularity of digital photography by offering PC-free printing capabilities via the built-in memory card slots, or PictBridge. To further enhance photo-functionality, the SX400 Series includes a 6.3cm crystal-clear LCD viewer to simplify navigation of print options and to view photos before printing.
The twin printers will be available in June 2008. The SX200 will have a retail price of £80, including taxes (that’s about $160, US) while the SX400 will retail at £120.
