DxO Labs says their Optics Pro 7 raw processing and optical correction software will be released on November 30 at a special 33 percent discount until December 24. It is a free upgrade for uses who got Version 6 after September 1, 2011.

This major release, according to DxO, offers up to 4 times faster batch processing. It also adds support for newer cameras like the Fujifilm X100, Nikon P7100, Sony Alpha 77, NEX-C3, NEX-5N, and includes more than 300 new DxO Optics Modules.

Optics Pro 7 has improved its Lens Softness tool to preserve bokeh while avoiding the creation of artifacts in homogenous or out-of-focus zones. Its Unsharp Mask tool has a new “Edge Offset” slider for crisp and uniform sharpness from the center of the image field right to the edges, while its Protect Saturated Colors tool offers the possibility of restoring a significant number of details and of recovering rich textures in highly-saturated zones.
