Dutch ANP Photo Introduces Fair Trade Photography via World Portraits

ANP Photo World Portraits

Netherlands-based ANP Photo is introducing World Portraits, a new initiative that enables models to earn money with their photos every time their image is published.

ANP says World Portraits is a fair trade photo collection of people from around the world. The people you see in WP photos are not professional models but ordinary people who sign a model release contract on the spot. Their photos are taken with no make-up or staging. Every time his photo is sold, the person in the photo receives a royalty (details here).

ANP can do this because of the backing of the DOEN Foundation, who supports the WP concept. Dutch Princess Máxima recently launched World Portraits in the Museon in The Hague.
