Dust Aid Rolls 3 New Products, One of Them Seals Off the Camera Chamber To Keep Out Dust

Dust Shield

Bend, Oregon-based Dust Aid has introduced 3 new products designed to keep away dust from your camera.

One is the Dust-Swabs with Sensor Light; it has some kind of flashlight to illuminate the camera’s mirror chamber so you can see what you’re doing. Another is the Dust-Jet, a hand operated bulb blower that allows you to insert a filter membrane so you blow only clean air (at reduced strength, we assume) onto your sensor.

The third one is the Dust-Shield. With what is claimed to be an optically clear polymer (plastic, to you and me), the Dust-Shield is used as a seal where the camera body meets the lens, to keep dust from getting onto the sensor. The company claims there is no image deterioration here. (Bah, humbug!)
