Digital specialist MyMemory and Durell Wildlife Conservation Trust are launching a photo competition that will give the first prize winner a trip to Madagascar.

Details are still to be announced before the contest officially starts on June 4, 2007 but organizers say the top winner will win a place on a Durell-led exhibition to Madagascar where they will visit the charity’s conservation projects and enjoy a chance to photograph the country’s stunning wildlife and landscape.

The first prize winner will also receive a Canon 400D DSLR camera, a range of SanDisk Extreme IV memory cards, a Lowepro camera case and Manfrotto camera gear.

The first runner-up will get a five-star trip to Jersey including a tour of Durrell’s headquarters and wildlife park while the second runner-up will receive a selection of Sandisk products.

Entries may be submitted from June 4 to July 30. The public will vote for their favorites and the top 12 vote-getters will go to a final judging. The top 12 photos will also secure a place in a desktop calendar.
