Cowon Q5 PMP to Hit U.S. Stores in June

Cowon Q5 Portable Media Player

Cowon Korea is exporting the Cowon Q5 portable media player to the U.S.; Cowon America is to have it in stock by the end of June.

The Q5’s pièce de résistance is its wireless connectivity via Bluetooth, WiFi and HSDPA. The Wi-Fi and HSDPA radios are primarily designed for connecting to the Web via Internet Explorer, while the Bluetooth technology allows for wireless connectivity to headphones and for sharing files with other Bluetooth devices.

It also offers DVR capabilities, hefty codec support (including DivX and XviD), built-in speakers, and an FM radio, along with optional TeleAtlas-based GPS.

Another attractive feature of the Q5 is its 5-inch touch sensitive LCD screen which offers 800 x 480 resolution, powered by the MS Windows CE 5.0 Professional operating system.

The Cowon Q5 will be available in the U.S. by the end of Q2 2007 at $499 (40GB) and $549 (60GB).
