The 2007 International Consumer Electronics Show in Vegas is winding down, and CNET editors have started handing out “Best of CES†awards to various products in several categories.
Best in Show is the LG BH100 optical disc drive by LG Electronics for being able to play both Blu-ray and HD-DVD discs despite the format war between the two.
Windows Vista bested it in the computers and hardware category; Sandisk Sansa Connect is best in MP3 and portable audio; LG BH100 again for home video; Philips HTS8100 best in home audio; Alienware Area 51 m9750 best in gaming; Sony HDR-HC7 best in cameras and camcorders; Dash Express best in car tech; Verizon Wireless V Cast TV best in cell phones, smartphones, PDAs; and Powercast best in emerging tech.
