They are made of aluminum alloy and carbon fiber and they are made in China. The Induro brand will begin shipping in the US this month providing stiff competition to American brands offering professional grade tripods and heads for photographers.

The Induro product line – tripods, monopods, ball heads and accessories – are made by Yilee Precision Machinery Co., Ltd. which markets the products in Asia under the Benro brand. They have been awarded with the Best Brand, Highest Quality, Best Reputation and Photographer’s Choice Awards 2005 in China (looks like we have another Yao Ming import here).

The Induro brand will be marketed in the US by the MAC Group. MAC says “the carbon fiber tubing used in Induro products is 40 percent stronger in load pressure, and 80 percent stronger laterally than the leading brands of carbon fiber tripods and monopods. This is achieved by using more fibers and less epoxy in the manufacturing blend.”
