Casio has launched the new Exilim EX-FH25 touting features that include a high-sensitivity 10-megapixel CMOS image sensor, zoom range equivalent to 26-520mm and sensor-shift image stabilization.
The new camera is available initially in Europe, with worldwide availability expected soon in other parts of the world. In Europe, the FH25 is retailing for €399, or about US$490. But the Casio website lists the price at $399; $349 after rebate.
The Casio EX-FH25 can capture photographs at up to 30 frames per second (fps) at a resolution of 9 megapixels. At high speed mode, it can record at 1000fps. There is also a pre-record mode which starts image capture as soon as the shutter is half pressed, a boon to those who press the shutter a little too late for action shots.
