Casio Prototype Camera to Shoot 60fps Stills, 300fps Movies

This new Casio camera in development could be the fastest camera in the world, with burst shooting speeds of up to 60 frames per second and movie recording at 300fps.

The envisioned Casio camera will use a new high speed 6-megapixel CMOS sensor and a high speed LSI image processing chip. It will also be equipped with a 12x zoom lens that uses 12 elements in 9 groups, f/2.7-4.6, with an equivalent zoom of 35-420mm.

Its display screen will be 2.8” and will also be fitted with a sensor-shift image stabilization system.

No date and no pricing have yet been released by Casio; the camera you see above is only a prototype.
