Canon DC50 Camcorder

With the imminent opening of CES 2007 next week in Vegas, electronic companies are in a frenzy of releasing new products vying for consumers’ attention. Canon has joined the fray with seven new direct-to-DVD camcorders.

Headlining Canon’s offerings is its flagship model, the DC50 camcorder that can also capture still pictures with its 5.39 CCD image sensor. Canon touts its smooth 12x optical zoom control as well as its image stabilization feature.

The camera records videos and stills on 3-inch DVD-R/RW discs; up to 60 minutes of video on a single-layer disc and 108 minutes on a dual-layer disc.
