Canon Launches EOS Rebel T3i, Rebel T3

Canon EOS Rebel T3i DSLR Camera

The Canon EOS 600D (Rebel T3i) has been announced at the CP+2011 trade exposition in Japan, and the initial hands-on preview from DPReview.com describes it as “an extremely well-featured little camera that’s well beyond the traditional stripped-down ‘entry level’ fare.”

The 600D is a refresh of the previous 550D, gaining an articulating screen that was first made available in the still new and more expensive Canon EOS 60D. The 18-megapixel 600D is now also able to remotely control external flashguns using its built-in flash, a feature usually found in more expensive professional models.

Also announced at CP+ 2011 is the other entry level DSLR by Canon, the EOS 1100D (Rebel T3) which sits just a notch below the 600D. The 12-megapixel EOS 1100D features 720p HD movie recording and a 9-point autofocus sensor.
