Canon Launches 3rd Annual Photography In The Parks Contest

Canon USA is calling for entries to its 3rd annual Photography In The Parks photo contest. The company says the contest aims to inspire Americans to visit their national and state parks and photograph their beauty.

The contest invites photography enthusiasts to submit images from any park or monument in America from now until September 30, 2008.

Theme for this year’s contest is “Inspirational Nature Images”. The winner will receive a trip for two to a park of their choice, and a full suite of Canon photographic equipment.

First prize includes a Canon 5D camera complete with an EF-24-105mm f/4L IS USM zoom lens and a Pixma Pro9500 Photo Printer. Second prize is an EOS 40D with an EF-S 17-55mm IS USM lens plus a Pro9500 Printer, and third prize is an EOS Rebel XSi plus a lens and printer.

Participants will also be able to forward an e-postcard of their submitted images to friends and family as a fun way to share their photographs.
