Canon Announces PowerShot SX130 IS Camera

The new Canon PowerShot SX130 IS camera is a 12.1-megapixel shooter featuring a 3.0-inch LCD screen and a 12x optical zoom lens with the company’s Optical Image Stabilization technology. The SX130 IS replaces the SX120 IS model in this Canon line-up.

The 12X optical zoom, with image stabilization which should enable one to shoot distant subjects with sharp precision and details, has a zoom range of 28-336mm. It can also be used in video mode because of its quiet zoom motor. The new SX130 IS camera also shoots 720p HD video with stereo sound.

Special creative modes in still photography include Miniature, Fisheye, Poster, and Super Vivid. $250 when it comes out this month.
