Cameras for Kids by Disney and Digital Blue

They built cameras for kids, too. Sweet. So instead of getting that hand-me-down old point-and-shooter of yours because you’ve bought yourself a new one, your kid may now insist on his/her own camera that fits his/her own world.

Digital Blue and Disney together have crafted cameras that take real pictures, and also say, “I’m a kid, for cryin’ out loud!” The Disney-themed cameras are designed for ages 9 and up, including tweeners and teens who are “old enough to know what they like…but are not buying the $250 product,” said Digital Blue Vice President of Marketing Julie Gibbons.

Their most economic model, the $20 Disney Pix Micro Digital Camera fits in the palm of a hand and can be used as a camera keychain, in colors of The Little Mermaid, Cars, and Pirates of the Caribbean.

Their flagship model is the $80 Disney Pix Max Digital Camera, with 3 megapixels and 16MB of internal memory and accepts additional SD and MMC memory cards. It has a 4x digital zoom, auto flash, and a 1.5-inch LCD screen. No sweets included, bad for the teeth, kiddo.
