Call for Entries: The $12,000 ShootQ Grant

The $12,000 ShootQ Grant

The ShootQ Grant, now on its second year, is calling for entries for their expanded $12,000 grant program.

Organizers of the ShootQ Grant said the grant was established in 2008 for photographers to invest time working on projects that raise awareness about important issues. ShootQ sells cloud-based software that aims to automate the business of photography.

More than a monetary award, organizers said, the ShootQ Grant provides photographers with the opportunity to work on a meaningful project with the creative freedom and financial support necessary to produce photographs that raise public awareness about important social, environmental and economic issues.

The first ShootQ Grant was awarded to photojournalist Annie O’Neill for her project “To Heal a Soldier’s Heart.”
