Call for Entries: $50,000 Name Your Dream Assignment

Name Your Dream Assignment

Computer maker Lenovo, Microsoft and the Digital Photography School have teamed up to launch the Name Your Dream Assignment photo competition. It is “a contest to find the most creative, inspiring photo shoot idea” and it offers $50,000 cash award as top prize plus lots of goodies including a Lenovo ThinkPad W700.

Darren Rowse of DPS says this is a wonderful chance for starting photographers to enter the profession and to be recognized for their photography accomplishments through their creativity and imagination, rather than just their connections. “It is the idea that counts,” Darren adds. “You don’t need to be a pro photographer, or even to have a portfolio. All you need is a dream.”

To get details of the contest, you have to go to this site, below, and sign up. That means giving your name and email address. You might see the notorious DoubleClick if you peep under the hood, but not to worry says Darren, they just host the banners but they don’t have anything to do with the contest. (Methinks they should boot out the spammer completely.)
