Bogen Releases Gitzo Series 5 Traveler Monopod Olympic Edition

Bogen Imaging has launched what it calls the world’s first monopod dedicated to sport photographers, the Gitzo Series 5 Traveler Monopod.

Bogen said the Gitzo Series 5 Traveler Monopod provides solid support for long lenses yet is ultra compact and easy to carry – perfect for traveling to sports events and carrying lots of kit.

When folded the Gitzo Series 5 Traveler Monopod is only 16.14" extending to an eye-level 60.43" when fully extended. It has a maximum load capacity of 55lbs yet weighs only 27.6 ounces, and features a helpful belt clip making it easy to carry to locations.

The Series 5 Traveler Monopod is inspired by the 2008 Olympics, a commemorative special edition featuring the “888” logo has been created by Gitzo to celebrate the Beijing Olympic Games. The new Gitzo Series 5 Traveler is available now for $368.
