BenQ Unveils 10MP C1000 Compact Digital Camera

Taiwan’s BenQ today announced its 10-megapixel C1000 digital camera, featuring a 3x optical zoom, 2.4-inch LCD screen, 24MB internal memory, and an extensive range of user-friendly modes.

Among the shooting modes is what BenQ calls PASM (Program AE/Aperture Priority/Shutter Priority/Manual), which allows photographers to manually customize the aperture and shutter speed to one’s own preferences.

The C1000’s “8-second shutter speed night scene mode function enables users to capture pictures with clearer and sharper details that disappear in general shutter speed,” BenQ said.

The C1000 can shoot VGA movies at 30fps with MPEG4 format. It also prints directly via any PictBridge-enabled printer.
