The latest point-and-shoot camera from BenQ is the 7-megapixel T700, retailing for about $330. Nothing earth-shaking or revolutionary in its design, just a few sleek lines here and a 3-inch touch screen LCD there. Users can write notes on their pictures right in the camera with the touch screen, add various stamps and frames, or sign their name. The touch screen is also used to navigate the camera functions.
BenQ claims it’s the slimmest camera to-date at 3.58 x 0.66 x 2.32 inches, with 0.58 inches being its slimmest point. Maybe, we’ll have to check with Casio.
The BenQ camera is equipped with a Super Shake Free system with a sensitivity of 1200 ISO, which of course means its just optical manipulation and not true sensor-shift anti-shake.
The T700 can also record video in MPEG 4 format at 640 x 480 at 30 fps. It is available in red, black, silver and white.
