Voigtländer APO-LANTHAR 90mm F3.5 SL II Lens

The Cosina Voigtländer APO-LANTHAR 90mm F3.5 SL II manual-focus lens is now available in Europe at a retail price of €549, about $686 US. The new lens, first announced in February 2010, is available in Canon, Nikon and Pentax mounts.

The lens has been reconstructed with a smaller body while maintaining the same optical construction and 50cm minimum focusing distance of the previous SL version.

It comes with a lens hood and an add-on close-up lens, which allows the photographer to focus down to 32cm, and achieve a magnification of 1:1.8. Without the close-up adapter, the lens can focus down to 50cm only.

The Cosina Voigtländer APO-LANTHAR 90mm F3.5 SL II lens is made up of 6 lens elements arranged in 5 groups. It has 9 diaphragm blades for the aperture.
