Asus Rolls Out New AF-200, MF-200 Webcams

Asus AF-200 & MF-200 Webcams

The new webcams from Asus – the AF-200 and the MF-200 – are equipped with F/1.6 apertures just like those used by professional photographers. That, together with their 2.0-megapixel image sensor enable detailed and vivid imagery for video calls, says Asus.

Both webcams are designed for video chats and live business conferences over the Internet; the only difference between the two is that the AF-200 has autofocus while the MF-200 focuses manually.

Aside from that, the two webcams are identical in features. They stream video at 30fps at VGA (640×480) resolution and both feature a face tracking function that automatically centers a person face on the video frame, like having a TV cameraman to keep your face centered while chatting.

Asus said the AF-200 and MF-200 are also especially equipped to cope with low-light situations, boasting that even when in complete darkness, the light from your monitor alone is enough to capture and transmit good quality video.
