America at Home

Rick Smolan and his team, which specializes in the design and execution of large-scale global projects that combine compelling story-telling with state-of-the-art technology, are launching another big project, “America at Home,” which seeks to collect home photographs from the entire U.S. population.

Smolan and his team were the organizers of the very successful “A Day in the Life of America: America 24/7,” which gave Americans the opportunity to create a national family album during one ordinary week in May 2003.

America at Home will ask Americans to take digital photos of what home means to them during the week of September 17th to the 23rd and submit them to MyAmericaAtHome.com.

These home photos and images on the same theme by 100 select professionals will be compiled as a coffee table book titled, “America at Home,” to be released in March 2008.

Buyers of the book can personalize it by featuring their own home photos on the book’s jacket.
