Adobe is now shipping the Mac version of its Flex Builder 2, a toolset for designing and deploying a new class of rich Internet applications.
This product costs $500 and it’s gotta have something substantial to offer. Adobe says Flex Builder 2 for the Macintosh helps developers and designers build engaging Web applications that combine the benefits of desktop software with the reach of the Web. (Huh? That one went over my head…)
The company’s announcement adds that Flex Builder 2, an Eclipse-based integrated development environment (IDE), combines powerful ActionScript and MXML editors, a visual UI designer, and integrated debugging, to help developers build applications faster. (Oh…)
It’s really a vast package of Internet apps for commerce. And if you’re curious, view the Flex Product Overview at the Adobe website.
