Adobe Creative Suite 3 Launches Today

It’s official: Adobe Systems Inc. today announces the release of the Adobe Creative Suite 3 product line, combining the best of Adobe and Macromedia applications to provide designers and developers with creative tools for print, web, mobile, interactive, film, and video production.

There are six editions of Adobe CS3:

  1. Adobe CS3 Design Premium
  2. Adobe CS3 Design Standard
  3. Adobe CS3 Web Premium
  4. Adobe CS3 Web Standard
  5. Adobe CS3 Production Premium
  6. Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection

The Master Collection combines 12 of Adobe’s new design and development applications in a single box – the most comprehensive creative environment ever delivered.

Most of Adobe CS3 editions are available as Universal applications for both PowerPC and Intel-based Macs and support Windows XP and Windows Vista. Customers can choose from the six suite editions or full stand-alone versions of Photoshop CS3, Photoshop CS3 Extended, InDesign CS3, Illustrator CS3, Flash CS3 Professional, Dreamweaver CS3, Adobe Premier Pro CS3 and After Effects CS3.

Adobe CEO Bruce Chizen says this is the biggest launch in the company’s 25 year history and a milestone for the creative industry. To celebrate the launching of Adobe CS3, the company is hosting a live webcast from New York City today at 3:30 pm EDT. The live webcast may be accessed from here.
