The Green House Gaudi GHV-DV17SDS camcorder packs a 5-megapixel image sensor, 16MB of built-in memory and an SD card slot which supports up to 2GB. Nothing fancy, nothing extraordinary.
But its price of ¥13,800 or about $125 is pretty attractive and makes the camera well worth Googling.
AkihabaraNews (yes, this Gaudi was seen in Japan) says the camcorder can shoot 640×480 VGA videos. If you want a decent 30fps video you have to shoot in 320×240 QVGA. The Gaudicam can also take still photos in native 5MP or extrapolated 12MP.
Do you need to know who makes the Gaudi? I wouldn’t even be surprised if it’s not made in Japan at all.
